A uniquely designed tour to the Mary Rose, Henry VIII's flagship
The Ship Hall, containing Henry VIII's flagship is closing for reconstruction on 18 September for three years. Tudor History Tours has compiled an escorted day tour to Portsmouth to give you the last opporutnity to see the Mary Rose and experience the life and times of Tudor England in Portsmouth.
This never to be repeated day allows you to spend time exploring the Mary Rose before it closes for public viewing in mid-September. You will also have an unrivalled opportunity to see behind the scenes with a private, guided tour of the museum, allowing you to handle some of the artifacts brought up from the sea and used by sailors nearly 500 years ago! You will have access to all of the wonderful sights in Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard and if you run out of time our ticket allows you to return at any time within the following 12 months. A spectacular Tudor Banquet ends this action packed day.
For those who wish to experience the banquet but perhaps are not so nautically minded, there is the opportunity for retail therapy at Gunwharf Quays designer outlets next door to the Historic Dockyard.
